Keep Sinclair Fair is being organized by Reconstructing Dayton, a 501(c)4 Political action committee.
It is one effort of many to transform Dayton, and the region, into a functional, competitive and affordable community that provides opportunity to all, with an equitable tax burden and reasonable governmental overhead.

We decided to become a 501(c)4 because many political leaders in our region are more interested in preserving their power and influence and are vindictive to anyone that supports regionalization, fair and reasonable taxation, or equal access to the ballot for all.

The people behind Reconstructing Dayton are David Esrati, Alex Snell and Kim McCarthy. They all work at David’s advertising agency, The Next Wave, and have extensive experience in putting together websites like this one, utilizing CiviCRM, an open source, “constituent relationship management” program, and doing everything from campaign commercials to media buys.  We  also have a printing division that is very competitively priced, The Next Wave Printing, supplying campaign materials at the lowest prices.

Congressman Turner had no problems hiring his wife’s firm when doing his campaigns, before anyone starts talking about conflicts of interest.

The Sinclair Foundation collects money from employees via payroll deduction to run their campaign. They spend at least $60K a year retaining a public relations firm out of Cleveland.

The Next Wave keeps track of all time expended, and will be reimbursed at our standard rates. Those books will be open to the public.

Our goal isn’t to hurt Sinclair at all, just to spread the tax burden out, or re-focus our efforts on providing services to those who have paid for them. The fact that there are now 2 levies in different election cycles for Montgomery County voters- and none for other counties that they serve has to be shared and effectively communicated. We need your help and support.
